Welcome to IMC Normandie!
IMC Normandie, also known as the Institute for Filmmaking of Normandy, is a dynamic, student-centered undergraduate private school, located in Cherbourg (Normandy-France), born out of the will and passion of professional filmmakers to share their art, knowledge and skills with future generations of technicians, actors and directors.
IMC Normandie and its faculty are focused on delivering high-quality undergraduate instruction and training, and fostering the creative talents of their students.
With the help of well-known director Jean-Pierre Jeunet (Amélie Poulain, Alien Resurrection, A Very Long Engagement), IMC Normandie offers a genuine alternative in filmmaking and audiovisual education, a place of synergy, of human and creative encounters.
Throughout the 3-year courses, the training emphasises the collective dimension of the filmmaking process, allowing students to learn and grow from working with each and every department.
At IMC Normandie, the faculty and staff work together to guide the students and prepare them to enter the motion picture industry upon graduation.
